COVID-19 Information for Members – March 6, 2020

COVID-19 Information

As health care practitioners it is important that members be aware of, and up to date on, the current status of COVID-19.  To assist in this, you may find the following websites useful and informative.

This website provides information about how the Ministry of Health has been preparing for coronavirus in Ontario.  It also discusses ways to protect oneself, what to do if you are sick after you travel and how to recognize possible symptoms.  As well, every weekday at 10:30 a.m. ET, this web page is updated with current information on the status of cases in Ontario.

The Public Health Service of the Government of Canada provides national data on the current status of COVID-19 as well as more global information.

The American Psychological Association has prepared a fact sheet, COVID-19 AND PSYCHOLOGY SERVICES: How to Protect Your Patients and Your Practice.  While many of the URLs referenced lead to American sites, members may find some of the information useful and relevant to their practice.
